Grounds, spot on!

The Kruve starter pack contains two or six sieves: a fine one with a hole size of 400 microns and a coarse one with a hole size of 800 microns.

With the fine 400-micron sieve, you can perfectly filter out the "fines" (the smallest particles), and with the 800-micron one, you can effectively remove the "boulders" (the largest particles).

This starter pack belongs in every brewer's bag because it does the most important job! Small particles tend to over-extract, making the coffee bitter. Large particles tend to under-extract, leaving the coffee sour and unpleasantly uneven.

The 2-piece set includes sieves of size (μm) 400, 800.

How does Kruve work?

Coffee is placed onto the sieve tower. The coarsest sieves are at the top, and the finest are at the bottom. Let's assume we have chosen a medium grind and want the largest portion of the coffee to be of a medium grain size. In this case, our coarse sieves hold back the particles that are too large, while the particles that are too fine fall all the way through, meaning they are also not part of our desired size range.
