IMS Competition E61 - Double Screen

The IMS Competition precision screens support uniform espresso extraction through their rounded shape and precise, calibrated hole pattern. Many stamped holes in cheaper espresso screens have varying hole sizes. We highly value the IMS Competition screens.

Capacity and Usage

The capacity of the screens depends on the coffee used, so our capacity specifications differ from the manufacturer's (IMS) specifications. To make the results as transparent as possible for you, we used unseren APAS espresso in the 24.5 mm screen, 18-20g, and arrived at the values mentioned above.

• Note: When using an Ascaso group head machine, 18-19 g is recommended as the group head sits relatively deep, while the Quickmill Rubino can also handle 20 g without any problems.

Easy Installation

Changing the screen is intuitive. Simply remove the old screen from the portafilter and insert the new IMS Competition screen – done!

Attention: Note the differences between screens with and without spring retention. The offered screen is held in place by the spring/retaining ring (ridged).

Why IMS Competition Screens?

Many espresso machines are well-designed – but show differences in finish and details. Too often, cuts are made in the Tamper, the shower and unfortunately also on the screens. This is why we standardly upgrade all espresso machines that we use ourselves with IMS Competition screens in size 24.5 (or in rare cases 26.5). The holes in the screen are 0.30 mm in size and polished from the inside.
