Why do we sell these 54 mm baskets?

Many espresso machines are well-built overall, but compromises are often made in finishing and details. Particularly with tampers, showerheads and baskets, this shows itself in everyday use as uneven extraction, channeling and fluctuating fill amounts. That's why we routinely upgrade all 54 mm machines we use ourselves to our KM baskets. For us, it's a small modification with a big impact.

The upgrade is almost self-explanatory: just as when cleaning the portafilter, you remove the existing basket and insert ours. Clamp it in, calibrate, and pull the shot. Done.
