Henrique Sloper has managed Fazenda Camocim since 1999 and operates it according to biodynamic principles. Biodynamics goes beyond organic practices—they are a minimum standard. Organic-biodynamic agriculture,
recognizable by the Demeter seal, is based on the principles of anthroposophy according to Rudolf Steiner. For example, biodynamic
agriculture aims for a closed-loop system. Fertilizers and plant protection products are produced on the farm, using, for example, fertilizer from their own livestock and plant extracts.
