How do I adjust the leveler to the correct height?

The leveling tool can be adjusted to the desired height by turning the bottom part clockwise.

Leveling does not replace tamping in the portafilter; for that a tamper is needed. Instead, it helps distribute the coffee grounds evenly in the portafilter.

The tool should be adjusted so that it does not compress the coffee grounds, but sits loosely and distributes the coffee grounds cleanly.
