Important Details on Capacity

The capacity of the baskets depends on the coffee used. To make the results as transparent as possible for you, we used our APAS Espresso and arrived at the values mentioned above.

When using the APAS , 17-19g are well usable in the double basket. For example, when using an Ascaso portafilter machine, it's more like 18-19g because the brew group sits relatively deep. When using a Quickmill Rubino, on the other hand, 20g is no problem.

Why do we sell these baskets?

Many espresso machines are well-designed in their basic setup - but show differences in finishing and details. Far too often, savings are made on the tamper, the shower screen and unfortunately also on the baskets. That's why we standardly upgrade all espresso machines we use ourselves to our KM Profi Baskets in 24mm size.

Replacing the basket is almost self-explanatory. Just like when cleaning the portafilter, the existing basket in the portafilter is removed and the new one is inserted. Done.
