Office Beans. Together with an inclusive foundation, we're shaking up the Basel office coffee world

With the Weizenkorn Foundation and Jura machine partner Pelluch in Allschwil, we're creating new jobs in an unexpected setting: the Swiss office everyday. With the "Office Beans" project, we're proving that inclusive employment and high quality standards are not only compatible, but strengthen each other.
Social inclusion is not a project that gets completed at some point. But sometimes something emerges that shows how it could be. Office Beans is such a moment for us. In this project we work together with the Weizenkorn Foundation in Basel and the company Haushaltgeräte Pelluch GmbH in Allschwil.
We roast the coffee, Pelluch installs the coffee machine, and the employees from Weizenkorn bring the coffee and keep the coffee corner running.
So we solved the equation. As a coffee roastery, we haven't seen ourselves in the role of a comprehensive service provider so far. All the more pleasing when we can win like-minded partners for an idea and then pull in the same direction.

Office Beans - how does the concept work?
Consultation
We arrange a meeting. Together we select the machine, the coffee and the service rhythm that fits your office size.
Installation
The machine is professionally installed and the coffee is precisely adjusted to your desired beverages. The coffee flows.
Support
The coffee team from the Weizenkorn Foundation takes over the management of the coffee corner if desired.
Service
In case of a malfunction, Haushaltgeräte Pelluch GmbH takes care of the service.

Inclusion that doesn't hide
Too often, inclusive employment means: support activities in the background, far away from core business. In 2022, we launched a coffee training program for people with support needs together with Café Unique and the Wydehöfli residential home. Café Unique in Arlesheim and Basel shows how to successfully run an inclusive café close to people while making inclusion simple.
With the Office Beans project, we also showcase the work of the Weizenkorn Foundation's employees. They are visible, competent and proud of their work. They ensure that office workers get a cup of coffee every day that deserves the name.

About the Weizenkorn Foundation
Since 1979, Weizenkorn has enabled over 300 young people with support needs to do meaningful work and training in areas such as gastronomy, woodworking and hospitality. Accompanied by an experienced team, they strengthen their skills and find their way into the working world.
About Haushaltgeräte Pelluch GmbH, Allschwil
Since 1987, everything at Pelluch has revolved around coffee machines and coffee. The Allschwil-based GmbH advises, sells and repairs professional fully automatic coffee machines for home and office with the goal of finding the right machine for every situation.
