Why do we sell this needle tool?

The needle tool is a useful aid for creating more even espresso shots from a portafilter machine. Espresso-finely ground coffee beans tend to clump. With the needle tool, these clumps in the portafilter can be broken up quickly and easily. Homogeneous grounds help prevent channeling. After using the needle tool, the ground coffee is tamped and then the portafilter can be inserted into the portafilter machine for extraction.
