Victoria Arduino Eagle One Prima in Test

The Victoria Arduino Eagle One Prima was the first dual boiler machine in our test series. It impresses with elegant aesthetics, robustness and weight. In the manufacture of the espresso machine, gastronomy components were consistently used, which also makes the machine interesting for catering applications or smaller gastronomy operations. We particularly like the fact that the machine sometimes has about half the power consumption compared to other dual boilers. After one hour, we measured a consumption of 0.3 kWh.

In our temperature test, the Victoria Arduino Eagle One Prima was relatively stable. The temperatures fluctuated between 0.6 and 1 degree from the average brewing temperature. It should be noted that there are dual boiler espresso machines and also thermoblocks that achieve this more precisely per group head. The Eagle One plays out its strengths more in continuous operation.

The milk frothing performance is powerful and impressed our tester Michel Aeschbacher. The ability to start and stop frothing with the push of a button in particular brings speed and precision to frothing, eliminating the need to laboriously turn a dial up or down.

With the Eagle One Prima app, temperature and pre-infusion can be controlled conveniently. Additional features round out the scope. We were not at all pleased with the drip tray, which is very small and difficult to remove from the machine. Quite a dripping hazard! The machine is probably designed for connection to a drain pipe. However, the corresponding hole would need to be made afterwards.
